Packing for a Disney trip
It can be daunting deciding what you need to pack for a Disney trip. You don't want to pack too much, especially if you are flying. On the other hand you don't want to forget anything. In this blog we are going to look at the essential items you will need for your trip.
The first one is obvious, clothes. However what clothes and how much can be difficult. Now I always tend to overpack, this can be handy as I never run out of anything, but my suitcase always weighs a lot! You need to look at how many nights you are going for. I would say it is best to pack a couple of extra days worth. For example if you spill something and need to change or the weather is different to what you thought it was going to be.
Secondly you are going to need toiletries. This is going to be different for everyone. Again I always pack way more than I actually need. It is best to check with your hotel booking as some hotels will provide shampoo, conditioner and soap. This will save you having to take this in your luggage.
Thirdly it is best to pack for the weather. If you are going somewhere hot like Florida or California it can be a good idea to take a handheld fan, suncream, sunglasses and a sunhat. However you will probably also need an umbrella and/or a poncho as the weather can be unpredictable!
The fourth item you need to pack are Minnie ears. If you like to wear Minnie ears then it is best to buy them on sites such as etsy as they are going to be a lot cheaper than in the parks.
One of the most important items you are going to need for your Disney trip is documents. This includes passport if you are travelling to another country and your travel ticket, whether that be a plane Ticket, train ticket or another form of ticket. Most tickets are now online and you will be able to access them through your phone.
Autograph book and pen are good items to make sure you pack. Again these items are a lot cheaper to buy outside of the parks.
Comfy shoes are really important for a Disney trip. Walking around a Disney park can mean you do lots of steps. It is important to wear shoes that you can wear for hours on end. I would advise you don't pack brand new shoes, but your comfiest ones.
It can be a good idea to pack a reusable water bottle. Drinks can be expensive in the park and it will help the environment to reuse the same bottle.
Chargers are essential to pack, you want to be able to use your phone for emergencies as well as for taking photos. You will also need a charger if you take a handheld fan (unless it is battery operated). It can be a good idea to pack charging rods as it will mean you will be able to use your phone or other devices for longer.
Hand sanitiser and travel wipes can be really useful. The amount of people that visit the parks can mean there are lot of germs.
To save money whilst on a Disney trip it can be a good idea to pack snacks. Just little snacks such as biscuits can be useful while you are on the go at the parks. The snacks at the Disney Parks can be quite expensive and you will more than likely have to wait in line to buy them.
